Why The Heck Should Franchise Industry Folks Listen To Me?

by JML on January 28, 2010

I mean, Cmon. I don’t even belong to The International Franchise Association. (IFA) I’m completely independent. I don’t belong to any of the franchise brokerage groups franchises. I’m just a franchise professional from Cleveland. So…why?

Here’s why;

  • I care about the franchise industry
  • I love the business model of franchising, and it’s potential
  • I want to protect prospective franchise owners
  • I want franchisors to get even better

Again, why the heck should franchise industry folks listen to me?

Who am I to dictate to them that they should change?

Maybe, they don’t think they need to change. Maybe, like most of us humans, they fear change.

Could it be that they don’t even know what transparency is?

Maybe I’ll explain it, so that they can see for themselves that becoming more transparent in their everyday business dealings will not hurt. (Too much)

It may even feel good.
