I just did.
(But, Franchise King, the “above the fold” area is where my most valuable real estate is. That’s crazy!)
Is my idea crazy, or is it just the right thing to do?
If we’re going to be transparent, let’s walk the walk. Let’s set an example. A stellar one. Maybe by doing this, entire industries will start doing it, too. What if banks put their disclosures at the top of their websites, and even on the top of their printed literature? What if airlines did the same thing? Credit card companies? Automobile manufactures and dealers? The list can go on and on. And it should.
So, what do you think? Are you willing to step out of your comfort zone, and welcome your readers and customers to your blogs and sites with “The Disclosure?”
If so, would you be willing to pass this idea around?
Are you ready to be really, really, transparent?
Go ahead. Move your disclosure information above the fold. Then let me know that you did it, by commenting below, and include your blog url so that the blogging community can see it for themselves. You can actually help convince others to do this!
Be The Change.
